Trying to read RFID implant with PN532

So I have really hit a wall when it comes to trying to solve my issues here. I have a Arduino nano hooked up to a PN532 nfc module v3 that i got off ebay along with a single relay and led all hooked up. I
have the rfid reader succesfully reading both the key fob and card given in the kit and turning on the led with the relay like i want. The only thing is my ultimate goal is to try and read this tag....

Which is the right frequency and is ISO14443A compliant like the other tags. My friends phone can read the implant tag after finding the sweet spot so the tags not defective.

My ultimate question is what do i need to do to modify my setup to get a Arduino based project to read a tag of this kind. i have tried the following list of things in order to get a read of the tag at distances of about 1cm. Ive spent a lot of time of this and am fairly familiar with some RFID specifics and have a back ground in mechanical engineering which has helped. I have heard good things about the adafruit pn532 board which claims a 10 cm read distance but i will not get that range because its a flat reader and i am trying to read a circular tag. i only need 3cm or more of read distance, heck id work with any reading at this point!

Pin Layout
sck 13
miso 12
mosi 11
ss 10
relay 9
5v and ground on arduino connected to 5v and ground on bread board

relay,Pn532, and the LED are all conntected to the 5v power also, LED has relay in between the 5V rail

Things attempted so far

  • secondary 5V power supply to try and boost signal
  • meticulously pushing the reader on my hand trying to find the "sweet spot"
  • place metal behind the reader to reflect and strengthen the signal on the other side
  • added a 17 turn 22awg wire inductor to try and increase the magnetic field in order to power the tag
  • Tried to see if there was a line of code that would let me change the antenna gain, couldn't find anything beside for the mfrc522 readers/library

Also.. this is my first post on this forum so if ive broken any rules/customs let me know. I tried to read the rules before posting! thanks!

hi I have implanted the above chip , some times the really cheap rfid readers are not compatible(not to actual spec )try getting your reader from a reputable source
