Thank you, I'll make a note to fix the variable types.
The 1600 bytes is being used strictly to print two lines to an I2c display. The other 350 lines of code in the sketch uses less than 300 bytes...
I think have been looking at this backwards. Its not 1600 bytes used but 1600 bytes free. Oops... yea, this makes more sense now.
