Turning the arduino on and off frequently

Does anything happen if I turn the arduino nano board on and off frequently? Example:

Manually with a switch I close the circuit, arduino turns on and does a job for a few seconds, I open the circuit with the switch and the board turns off. After a few seconds I may need to repeat the operation or maybe for a few hours and so back to start over and over again.

I don't know if this could damage the arduino or in the long run will cause it to break down faster, does anyone have information on this?
Thank you.

Hello @ykm95,

What has this got to do with the Arduino IDE?

thanks!

As long as you do not exceed any of its parameters and allow enough time for reset it should last a long time without any damage caused because of power cycling.
