I am new to programming displays, and I have an a 3.5" tft lcd no touch display. I have installed what I am sure are the appropriate libraries for driver ILI9486, but I am having a hard time finding good tutorials and other learning sources.
@sekei, your topic has been moved to a more suitable location on the forum; I think I understand why you posted in the Introductory Tutorials section but it's not quite the right place. Once you've mastered the ILI9486, you can write a tutorial 
Can you get examples that come with the library to work? If so, study them; if you don't understand them, ask questions.

The UTFT library by Henning Karlsen from Rinky Dink covers your driver and has an excellent manual .
