this is in conjunction with my other post and here i would like help making my tv lift a bit smarter at the moment i have a basic 2 Channel ir transmitter and reserve (basically up and down) and at the moment i need to hold up for it to go up and reled when its at the top and same when i press down. i basically want it were i can press up onece and it gose all the way up and stops when it hits a limit switch and the same in revers and i was hoping to up grade to stepper motors if this is possible i will want to use 2
Look at a scissor lift with a worm gear in the middle, and two opposing threads on each side of the scissor mechanism
Then the type of motor is almost irrelevant - and you may be better off with a simple geared DC motor.
