Typos/omissions in the Arduino Projects Book?

Hi, I am new to Arduino and to electronics in general, so I am working thru all the example projects in the official Arduino Projects Book. I am seeing what I think are important omissions -- detailed below -- and wondering how big an issue this will be. In the simplest example, a resister plus an LED, the book carefully details how to attach the parts to the breadboard, but they don't mention the two very short wires that need to be added. Is this common, that those little wires are never mentioned?

Where?

You mean the 'wires' that are hidden in your breadboard?

I am referring in this example to the short red wire and the short black wire in this pic:

Hi, @paulm2000
Welcome to the forum.

Yes you add the connecting wires.

Tom.. :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Because your breadboard needs them, but my breadboard does NOT need them. Don't assume.
