u8g2 library eating my RAM up

Hello guys, I'm working on Arduino Uno with the necessity of using a display... I'm currently using an OLED I2C SH1106 display, 0.96".

The only library that appears to work for this component is u8g2, but just by including the library, without any instruction, my RAM("Global variables are using 1580bytes", it says) has almost no room left... I really cannot understand why this is happening since u8g2 is one of the most used libraries even for Uno.

Thats the class I suppose I should be using:
U8G2_SH1106_128X64_NONAME_F_HW_I2C u8g2(U8G2_R0, U8X8_PIN_NONE);

Please provide me with a solution, I'm going craaazy!!

Arduino Mega.

What are you showing on the display? You are using a full buffer, which takes considerable ram. The library has an option for a frame buffer, which uses less memory, and a u8x8 library which is text only with no buffer.
