Ubuntu cannot open OS , also freezes

While booted from the USB stick, can you show:

sudo smartctl -x /dev/sdb

Does not work.

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo smartctl -x /dev/sdb
sudo: smartctl: command not found
