Thanks!

Very nice video that.

yea I just switched everything over to linux mint

ok let me expand on that a bit, ubuntu I have used since not day one but pretty early, it came out about the same time mandrake switched to mandrivia and wanted 11$ for a download, and at that point I was tired of semi borked "easy" red hat based distros

I still think ubuntu 8 was the bomb, 9 is ok, my laptop still has 9 as I have not reloaded it with light mint yet, 10 gets under my skin, for one it ran like a dog on my electronics bench machine (not a new machine by any means, but JFC a 2.1 ghz single core AMD64, 8x agp GF7800GT, and 2 gig of ddr1 pc 3200 ram wth? this thing can run GTA4 and other xbox 360 tech games mostly reasonably )

  • with 10 I coined the daily habbit of 100 updates with a 30% chance of reboot grr

anyway linux mint, its debian, it comes standard with gnome or KDE or a couple others including a light desktop which my old junkyard celeron laptop will like, and by default has a more friendly, dare I say more windows like user experiance .... course I customized that for my liking but I also tossed it on the piano tech's computer at work, who is not a computer person, who summarizes it as "very good and pretty quick" (roughly translating it from Korean)

now here is a system, direct from disk that a average joe, windows is it type person that just wants to listen to (drunken karaoke, I mean...) news, and fill out his spreadsheets, has had but 2 questions over the last 4 days

win win, I will be using it at the company from now on unless there is a honest need for windows as its less hassle out of the box for me to slip in the workplace

meanwhile let ubuntu do their thing, I dont know about you, but I have no need for unity, or multitouch, and frankly its a tad bit embarrassing I have to reboot my linux machines more then my wife's windows 7 box (my last ubuntu update reboot was a few days ago, my wifes windows 7 reboot was in the last week of September cause we lost power for a few min)
