Ultrasonic distance (anti-collision) sensor wireless trasmitting data PROJECT

Hello guys, I'm working on a ultrasonic distance sensor based shcool project, and I need to know if it's possible to send the data from the output of the program via the Thinxtra SigFox Dev Kit to the backend and see the values like: "The distance is 8 cm" you know. I have the ultrasonic sensor program, but I do not know how to transfer the data from the sensor through the kit to the SigFox backend. Or do you think there is any better way to transmit and display data values wirelessly at certain time intervals on a long distances? It should work as an anti-collision sensor that sends data at intervals to indicate possible obstacles on the track. I'll be very greatful for every single answer

Some info on this Sigfox thing would be great.

What kind of communications can it take? Is it a hardware or software thing?

Arduino has lots of ways to send data out. Serial, SPI and I2C are built in - and with external boards Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet, RS2332, RS485, LoRa, 433 MHz wireless, etc.

Whats 'long distances' ?

10m, 100m, 100km ?
