Hi, I recently bought two JSN-SR04T v3. sensors, and I spent hours and hours trying the various modes, programs and even all possible libraries, and the answer was always the same. The sensor, which by the way are version 3.0, always reads between 22 and 24 cm, independent of the actual distance of the obstacle in front of it, and it is supposed to measure from 25 cm and up to 600cm, which makes no sense at all.
I read as much as possible on the internet, and saw that this problem may be due to the variable inductance transformer, and some people corrected their problem by rotating the setting of this component. However, in my case this did not work, and in fact, the two parts had this component in different positions by default, which confuses me even more.
If you do not have good experience and proper equipment it is not recommended to change the setting of this transformer, ("inductor").
It is adjusted by the manufacturer.
If I understood your text, you say that the 2 parts had this component in different positions. Correct?
This is quite normal as each module is adjusted at the factory and the position of the ferrite slot will be in a different position for each product.
If you change this setting, your product will definitely malfunction.
Yes, each sensor brought it in a different position, and before starting to manipulate it, the measurements of both always gave a value of 23cm, independent of the sensor mode and the program, either with or without libraries.
What I am trying to get help on, is to ask if anyone knows how to modify these settings to get correct readings, since I was trying, with a plastic screwdriver, little by little, while taking the readings, and there was no change.
what microcontroller are you using?
upload a schematic showing how the sensors are connected to the microcontroller and powered?
upload a test program you have used which gives the faulty readings?
have you got the sensors positioned so they could be interfearing with each other?
Hi guys, I stumbled into this forum as my JSN3.0 is also getting stuck at 23cm readings when we go below 0 degrees...sometimes it recovers at +5 degrees on beyond. But regularly getting stuck as we lower temperature.I checked the opamp and looks to be OK as its industry grade 324V
How did you guys fix this issue on your side?
I do not have access to the code of the JSNSR04T-3.0. Is there anything I can change on that code to achieve success?
