Ultrasonic sensor

I am doing a school project with arduino, and i am assigned to use ultrasonic sensor to measure eye axis length using a 3d module. So i need to know what materials can the sensor penetrate to measure the whole distance

I suspect part of the assignment is to test and discover the materials, not ask someone for the answers.

Usually piezoelectric transducers are used for both the transmitter & receiver.

Just ,Google "Ultrasonic distance sensor".

Thanks but i don't neee a transducer i need to fill a ball with a material to simulate the eye, what material can i fill the ball with it but without blocking the ultrasonic waves

Doesn't that depend on what the envelope is made of?
And what the unnamed transducer is designed for.
