Arduino IDE 1.6.0 on Windows 7 64-bit, with all admin rights. Board "Arduino Uno. Blink example. It compiles without problem.

However, I do not have Arduino installed, I run it from the unpacked zip file. Do you have an installed previous version that is mixed with the new version ? Perhaps you can try to save the example file to a file in your own project folder.

DonnieM I think it's an issue with your home folder, that is "Nossy's". gcc complains that "Nossys" does not exist. It's ignoring the apostrophe in your home folder name

This will be fixed in one of the next IDE releases

I confirm this will be fixed in next release. There is a preliminary build already available at https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/pull/2568
