unable to connect and configure ESP8266 wifi module with Ardunio Mega

Hi Friends,

I try to connect Ardunio Mega with ESP8266 wifi module. wiring diagram attached for your reference.

I am using Ardunio IDE - For AT command test I was open COM monitor and selected 115200 baud rate and set to Both NL & CR.

But no response from ESP8266 wifi module. Response like “System read Vendor”. I have changed different baud rate. But no use of it.

I don’t know what I am missing out.

Please help on this.

Thanks,
Shanmuga Raja

nothing wrong with it, only good to know.
SE is not a forum, it is a Q&A site, not suitable for long troubleshooting conversations

I am new to IoT world. Thanks for your information.

For basic serial monitor it is Tx to Tx and Rx to Rx.

For softwareserial.h library it is Tx to Rx and Rx to Tx.

And in future post images according to these guidlines http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=519037

And you may want a separate power supply for ESP8266.

cheers

Edit
You may need a Voltage divider (logic level converter) as well. Arduino 5v logic ESP8266 3.3v logic.

@sshanmugaraja, it prints something to Serial Monitor? copy it and post
