Unable to power Arduino Nano 33 IoT with CR2032?

I have the + from the battery connected to VIN.
I have the - from the battery connected to GND.
When I test the voltage across VIN/GND I get 3.0 V.
The POWER led does not light up.
What am I missing ?

Current draw.

You are certainly missing the current capacity as Miss Drew says.
The board will suck the current from that battery PDQ !

I've since learned that VIN voltage ranges from 4.5 - 22 vdc.
I'll try 4 AA for voltage and current.

That should certainly give you a much better start to using the board with its own power supply.

I have done a few tests with 18650 (35E ~3450mAh) batteries in a single cell USB shield, Arduino Nano 33 IoT and a simple MQTT example that sends data every minute. My application run around 40+ hours.

Longer times will only be possible if you can disconnect WiFi and switch it off for some period of time.

Make sure you use rechargeable batteries otherwise your experiments will become expensive.
