Unable to sync variables between things

Hi, bit of an odd one. I am trying to sync a variable between two things. So, I edit the existing sync (the thing has variables that are already synced - and these are working fine) and when I try to do this I get a blank webpage. I have tried Chrome, Edge and Firebox browsers and still get the same result.
I have had blank webpages when carrying out other tasks (but I cannot remember now what they were) and have put this down to the new style of 'full editor'
I have reverted to using 2.3 now to edit my sketches, but I am unable to sync variables using it, so really need the web editor to work.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I really do not think that its the code.
Thanks
if it helps the address of the webpage (which is blank is:
[PV Solar Thing | Arduino Cloud] (https://app.arduino.cc/things/830fdXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-a5906c8fXXXX/setup) obviously the 'X's are numbers but I wasn't sure if it would be safe to post.

I have the same problem since this evening

I too have the same problem since yesterday (9th Feb 24). The problem may have been there even earlier but I tries this only then. The variable selection screen flashed briefly and then disappeared

its reassuring that I am not the only one having this problem. I had searched for it on the forum but found no mention of it, so thank you both for replying.
As @kpillai says, the variable screen flashes briefly and then disappears, leaving a white blank webpage.
I do hope this is picked up soon

Posted a message to Arduino support. Hopefully they will respond after the weekend.
"Since yesterday I have not been able to use the sync feature on the Add Variable screen. The list of variables available for syncing appears to flash briefly and then I get a blank screen. Tried with Chrome and Edge. Tried resetting chrome to delete all cookies & history. Tried on a different computer.

Checked on the forum and found two posts since yesterday describing the same problem"

@kpillai, still not working. did you get any response or support? I find it strange that only few people got this issue and I tried many things but still no result

We have received reports of this issue and is currently looking into it. We will provide update as soon as possible.

Please see the response. I have sent the screen shots just now. Have you asked for support?

Like you, I am also pretty desperate for this to work as I need it for a project

Dear Krishna,

Thank you for contacting Arduino.

Could you send me the console information when you try to do this please.

To open it in Firefox, click where it says console.

Try again and send me a video or screenshot of the console.

Have a nice day!

Kind Regards,
Eric Ch, Support Team

@kpillai Thanks for pursuing this.
It took a little while to understand what the console is. But (in Edge) go to 'More tools...' then Developer tools.
I selected and copied the results. I hope this is what Eric Ch and @Dozie requires.

This is the reply I got today. I checked Incognito mode as suggested by him. Same result

"Dear Krishna,

Thank you very much for the images, the team is already aware and we will try to prevent this bug from appearing, can you just tell me if it appears blank in all the broswers, even in incognito windows?

Dear Krishna,

Don't worry, the problem is not because of the ID, it is a problem that is affecting several users and we are already trying to fix it as quickly as possible.

Additional note that I made a new user and tried on different computers with same result that sync not working when logged in under other user credentials.

Having the same issue here.

What a shame. Tday I was teaching arduino IoT to a whole class of students. It worked for none of them.

This must be a change made recently on your code, as it was working fine just one week ago when I tested it to prepare the class.

In these cases, with such an important functionality not working, why don't you just go back to a version of the code that worked, while you are fixing the issue?

That must have been tough, especially when trying to teach the merits of IoT.
It feels as if this error was introduced around the same time as the 'new' full editor, and I agree with you, why not just go back to a working version?

Same problem for me, running windows 10.
I have my Windows in Swedish setup... ( far fetched i know...but there are some difference in eg usage of decimal point/comma, how time/date is presented etc...)

Still not working after almost a week. Thought that after paying for a cloud you would at least get a working version of it. It is no longer an open-source hobby project that you are trying to create.

I was asked to try below and provide information, which I think is standard and we all already tried. Earlier I send video's of screens and now again replied with the things I tried:

  • Share the console output when facing this issue.
  • Try using a different web browser and incognito mode.
  • Clean the website data and try again.

My message to Arduino helpdesk:

to inform you what I tried so far.

I try to use incognito mode on edge and chrome

removed data from site and history and logged in again on both browsers, data of dashboard and things are lost for period of time and come back again.

I tried to log in on other computers and different IP addresses.

I switched off my virus scanner (Norton 360)

I allowed all settings in chrome browser: pop up, window in window, adds blocking, all settings allowed in browser

I created a new user and tried on different browsers,IP and computers.

I tried with desktop version log in with my phone.

all same results....
