Unable to upload sketch

Hello,

Using Arduino IDE, version 2.1.1 on MacOS 12.6.3

Trying to upload sketch, get a number of

avrdude: jtagmkII_getsync(): sign-on command: status -1

messages, then fails.

I have followed the suggestions here: https://support.arduino.cc/hc/en-us/articles/4401874331410--Error-avrdude-when-uploading, verified I have correct board, port etc, but to no avail, as well as suggestions on other threads.

I tried 2 different boards, have uploaded to these boards in the past, though possible on an earlier version of Arduino IDE.

I am able to get board info, so it appears the IDE is connecting to the board and recognizing it.

Follows are verbose output, and screenshots:

board_info

Well, after trying different boards, fiddling with port designations and rebooting my computer, everything seems to be working now, though as I did a shotgun approach, I'm not really sure which did the trick.
