Where has that idea come from? It is much easier to help if you explain your thinking.
An Arduino designed for 16MHz will not work on 3.3v. You need one designed for 3.3v and running at 8MHz.
Second question if I were to have a separate motor should i just get another arduino or try to figure out how
to add a second input to the servo motors?
You need to provide more information. What do you mean by "a second input to the servo motors"? An Uno can control up to 10 servos IIRC so why would you be thinking of another Arduino?
