I have bought an ESP32 and don't know its model it has 38 pins. I tried Dev Module it doesn't work. It shows "A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: No serial data received." this issue was also there for my 30 pin board but it went away when i chose the correct board for the 30 pin one. which means another board needs to be selected for my 38 pin one.

If I had that board, I would try DEV then DOIT. Try uploading Blink. Is there a boot button to hold down while uploading?
The Esptool utility from Espressif can identify the chip and report many of its features.

The chip was ESP32-WROOM DA Module
Didn't work
The DA stands for Dual Antenna so the board is easy to identify by it's shape.
