i am new to arduino so,i follow this tutorial
i followed everything right(including the programming) and when i clicked on the serial monitor, it showed me unknown letters instead of numbers. i set up the port correctly also

Have you checked to see if the serial port on your PC is set to the same baud rate as your Arduino is sending?
