I found this little display in my box (seems I bought it a few years ago and forgot about it :D) -> see attached image!
The only label that I can see that you identify the display is TFT_PQ 2.4". I think I remember that I bought it from SainSmart?!
Unfortunately there is no chip visible. I think its behind the screen and not on the back. Furthermore, there are no pin labels so I really dont have any idea what display, wiring, and driver chip this display has so I was wondering if somebody has a similar display and can give me a hint on the wiring and library to use!
Before I buy an adapter it would be good to test the display if its still working etc. Furthermore I want to include the display in a project where I directly use an ATMega328 in the future.
Is there any wiring/schematic and/or library tutorial that I could test before?
Edit: I found this pin schematic: http://www.bustatech.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/pins.png
Connecting pin 19 to 3.3V and pin 1 to GND activates the background light. So this could be the pin setting! I will try this pin setup. Maybe I get it working.
Is it save to try opperating this also on 5V logic?
God made 3.3V displays for a reason. Likewise, God made Adapter shields for a reason.
Your particular display has not got a XPT2046 mounted. So Touch is not possible.
You will damage the TFT controller if you connect 5V logic.
It looks as if the SD cage has series resistors. It will probably be fine with 5V logic.
You can use series resistors or voltage dividers if you don't want to buy a proper Adapter.
