Hello, at work we use dataman to program ic's. We got a lot of black 328p in and I made a optiboot rig with a uno. Works great with the ide program after loading boot.
If I program a ic with the dataman then put back into uno, its works but I can no longer use ide program.
keeps giving the sync errors and the rx tx blink not in sync. If I reload optiboot on ic then works again.
What setting on dataman program do I need to set up to be able to use both programs? Thanks
Once you put on Optiboot, then the chip is expecting sketches to be uploaded using the Serial port. If you program via the SPI pins, that overwrites the boot area and there is no bootloader to look for sketches from the serial port.
So you need to create a file that has both optiboot and the program together.
This was discussed in the forum last week.
Sounds like you are not setting the lock fuse after bootloading them.
I don’t think so.

Ok. I will look it up. I try search here on dataman but didn't find nothing about this.
