i plug in my arduino with 9v wall power supply with no problem for 2 months.. i have buy a new ethernet shield R3 and i have see the voltage regulator in the board is hot i tach with my finger ... is this good ? the current is 200?A with the ethernet shield ... is this normal with 200?A the regulator still so warm ?
Hot? Or too hot to touch? Quite warm is normal. Too hot to touch is not.
not too hot to touch but is hot ... i resolve the problem with one fan speed cooler infront of my arduino now the temperature is perfect!
peiperakos:
the current is 200?A with the ethernet shield ...
No it is not!
It might be 200mA but never 200uA.
At 200mA you are going to dissipate 0.8W so yes it can get hot.
yes mike you have right is 200mA its my mistake ![]()
