UNO and XBee - Adaptor shield needed?

I have an UNO (Rev 3) and I wanted to add a WIFI XBee board to it. But its not clear if I need to buy a separate adapter board or if the XBee can be plugged directly into the UNO board. Does any one know?

I'd be using the Seeedstudio WiFi Bee RB-See-216, from Robotshop. (Can't seem to find another from that source. But shipping is cheap.]

Suggestions or comments about working with WIFI XBee are welcome.

xbee footprint is not the same as the Uno headers, so an adatper is needed.
xbee also runs at 3.3V, an adapter with 3.3V regulator and signal level translation would be better.

Good point. Thanks.
