Hello,
I recently purchased a Genuine Arduino Uno and it stopped functioning. I’ve read through the Arduino forum postings and your troubleshooting guide. I’ve tried everything that the forum suggested but it still won’t download new code. I’ve tried installing new drivers, re-starting the computer, re-setting the UNO with the button and the reset pin, installing a new Arduino IDE app, checking the COM port, installing a new online editor on a different computer, I tried a new USB cable and several other things.
• The downloaded program is absent
• It will no longer upload new programs
• It will not reset (LED stays on rx & tx don’t blink)
When I try to download a sketch, even the blink sketch I get a message that “avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x2c”
Do you know what this can be and if there is a fix? Is it a problem with the bootloader?
Thank you for your help. I’ve included the complete error message below,
-Christopher.
