I plugged in my new UNO according to the instructions and it appears under "other device" in the Device Manager (WinXP) rather then as a com port. The remainder of the installation doesn't work.
Anyone know how to get the UNO to appear as a com port?

You need to update the driver by right clicking and following the process, but first download the driver files from the main website.
If your driver is facing windows blocking you might need to start up in the safe mode before updating the driver. There are many forums that discuss this, but I'm not very sure about the xp.
