Uno Problem uploading (avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding)

Hello,

I am using a DFROBOT/DFRduino RoMeo V1.1 All-in-one Microcontroller with Bluetooth (Arduino Uno), with Windows 10 OS, and there is a problem uploading any code to the Arduino.

I have searched several forums and attempted the fixes, but none have worked. The board is on and blinking, the drivers are up to date, there is nothing connected to pins 0 and 1 (RX & TX), and pressing the reset button before or after uploading does not affect the error.
The same error occurs on the web editor.

Any help here would really be appreciated.

Make sure you have selected the port of your Arduino board from the Tools > Port menu.

Sometimes the port will be labeled with the board name in the menu. Other times it will not. If you don’t know which port is your Arduino, you can find it like this:

  • Unplug your Arduino board from the computer.
  • Tools > Port
  • Note the ports, if any, listed in the menu.
  • Close the Tools menu
  • Plug your Arduino board into the computer.
  • Tools > Port - The new port listed in the menu is your Arduino board.

Thanks, the port was labelled correctly in the Tools menu, and still the same error occurs. I also tried verifying the port by unplugging it and re-plugging it in (watching to see the board name pop up), and I looked up the port in the Device Manager in Windows Control Panel. It's recognizing it as Arduino Uno.
