Uno R3 not showing in device manager

Hello all

I have had a look around on the internet but with two small children dont have the time id like, so apologies if the answer is out there.

I brought the Latvin super starter kit which contains a Uno r3. The board lights up but is not appearing in device manager. I wondered if the board was broken so ordered anither uno board (i believe it is different to my first one although still uno). This board appeared in device manager the first time i connected it but not again. When it did appear windows announced it had malfunctioned and wasnt started. Board lit up and still does but no longer in device manager.

Tried updating drivers targetting folder containing arduino.ini to no avail.

OS is windows 10

Thanks in advance

Please see the sticky posts at the top of the forum as they tend to contain many of the answers people seek.

Sounds like you bought a CLONE kit so you may need additional drivers such as CH340/341 or CP2102.

Links are provided in one of the sticky posts to those.

You may also have to turn off driver signing in windows 10.
Also try using a USB 2.0 port on your computer as some iterations of USB 3.x can be glitchy.

Thank you. I shall try that.
