Uno R3 onboard led (pin13) flashing

Hallo all, This is my first post, I am just starting off with Arduino. starting with the (blink) prog. I have just received a new Uno R3
board and on plugging it in to the comp. the on board (pin 13) led flashes all the time. I have not loaded anything and pressing the reset does not stop it?

It likely had the Blink sketch loaded after being bootloaded. Nothing to worry about.
Pressing Reset will just kickoff the boatloader, if no response is seen from the PC the blink sketch then restarts.
