It appears you tried to share a PDF file. This is generally not a suitable way to share information with the forum community. Some of the forum helpers won't or can't download such files so you eliminate some of the pool of potential helpers by doing that, and thus reduce your chances of getting effective assistance.
If you want to share text, then that text should be provided directly in the post. If the text is longer than the forum software will allow you to put in a post, then put the text in a .txt file (NOT a PDF) and attach that .txt file to the post.
If you want to share pictures, you can attach the image files to the post.
The only time it is reasonable to attach a PDF file to your post is if you are sharing something that was originally published as a PDF file (e.g., a datasheet for an electronic component).
Why can't I add an image?
You can, but you must wait for it to finish uploading to the forum before you publish the post.
Try this:
- Open a forum reply here by clicking the "Reply" button.
- Start the image attachment process, as you did before.
- In the post composer, you will see text like this:
Wait until that text changes to something like this:[Uploading: r4 mode.jpg…]() - Click the "Reply" button to publish the post.
But keep in mind that an image alone is not sufficient. You also need to write a detailed text description of what you want assistance with.
