I recently purchased the UNO rev3.
If I compare it to the diecimila I have been using, as a newbie I notice that a part from the initial setup problems (on both boards) only the diecimila went well.
For the UNO on the other hand I am still experiencing some issues.
- Slow uploading even on the smallest of sketches (no, I do not have bluetooth connections open) on reset, pin 13 makes 3 fast blinks, could that mean that I have a NG bootloader (just like some diecimila boards erroneously had)?
- changing baud rate for the monitor is making everything freeze: 9600 or 4800 baud work fine but above that most of the time (but not always...) I have to open Windows Task Manager to "End Task" as nor the monitor nor the sketch respond.
- With IDE 0017 I could connect the diecimila to the PC whenever I prefered. Now pluging in the UNO after lauching the program on the PC seems to create a little bit of contrast between the two (sometimes it is ok, other times I just have to exit the program and reenter).
