Uno Wifi getting avrdude: stk500_recv(): error

Please help...

I get this when trying to upload sketch to Arduino Uno Wifi via serial USB
"avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding"

So far troubleshooting...

  1. uninstalled and reinstalled CH340 Driver several times (I'm on Mac Monterray 12.3.1)
  2. disconnected modules and retried
  3. connects OK on Arduino Uno board and uploads no errors
  4. checked IDE is up-to-date v 2.0.2
  5. disconnected arduino USB, reconnected and reset and re run upload
  6. checked serial connection is correct and re run upload
  7. checked correct board Arduino Uno Wifi and re run upload
  8. changed sketch to simple LED blink from library, selected Arduino Uno Wifi and re run upload
  9. tried and tip from the forum to use Arduino Duemilanove ir Diecimila board instead - same error
  10. also the USB cable is the same one used successfully to connect to the Arduino Uno

I read somewhere about bootloading the CH340 Driver to the two Arduino chips??? No idea how to do this.

Let me know if there are any other recommendations such as get a different board :wink:

I probably can't help you but would like to ask which Arduino WiFi you exactly have as there are two:

  1. Arduno WiFI
  2. Arduino WiFi Rev2

  1. Uno+WiFi

This is the specs on the box...
Uno with Wifi
integrated ESP8266
with ATmega328P
