Uno Wifi Rev. 2 Unresponsive - Short read, read only 0 out of 64 bytes

When I attempt to upload a sketch (even blink) to my Ardunio Uno Wifi Rev2, I get the following error message

avrdude done.  Thank you.

What I've tried:

  • Multiple computers (other Ardunio work on them)
  • Loopback Test: No response to input.
  • Reset button (Press or press and hold or press hold and pray)
  • When plugged in, it has the steady green "on" light. The TX / RX doesn't flash.

Based upon the logs, it seems to be a memory issue similar to this thread: Trouble reading/writing EEPROM via avrdude - Microcontrollers - Arduino Forum . I do not even come close to understanding the ardunio well enough to sort out if it is a memory / register issue. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated!

Cheers!

I think it's almost certainly completely unrelated to that other issue - the mega2560 is based on the classic AVR architecture, and the Uno Wifi Rev. 2 is based on megaAVR architecture. They use a completely different programming method.

Also, I suggest you edit the topic of the thread to specify that it's an Uno Wifi Rev. 2.

The Uno Wifi (not Rev. 2) uses a different processor (a classic avr) - really the only things they have in common is the name, shape, and the fact that they have on-board WiFi.

Arduino is very bad at choosing names for their products that will not result in confusion (see also, their three recently introduced "Nano" boards (Every, and whatever the other two are), which each use a different processor from both eachother and the "Arduino Nano", and their naming one board the Due, and the other the Duemillanove, so people who don't speak Italian (who would know that Duemillanove means "two thousand nine", the year it was released, and hence very different than Due ("two") would assume that "Due" was an abbreviation for "Duemillanove")

Thanks for the time - added to the subject!

Any ideas on how I could troubleshoot it further?

Did you ever solve this problem? I have the same error.
