UnoJoy - H-Shifter + Clutch Arduino / Genuino Uno

Hello dear Arduino community! I'm new, and i want your ideas and of course your help in here! I want to make a project with an arduino uno. And i need to use UnoJoy program for this. And i couldn't get the code to work. And i got switches, cables and arduino. I want to use a old steering wheel's pedals on the Arduino, it got the telephone connection type of connector and black-white-red-green color wire combination. How i can connect that cables? Or how i can understand which color does what? And, is there any program to use arduino as joystick?(UnoJoy isn't working.) And, i heard about Atmega16u2 chips and others. When i try to load the UnoJoy code, it refuses to load. Why? My arduino's chip has writings like "ATMEGA328P-PU" how i should do? I need your recommendations.

EDIT: When i was browsing through the website, i looked at one picture of Arduino / Genuino Uno and i checked it and... Boom! The 16u2 chip was a seperate small thing! And i inspected mine and i saw the small square chip. My arduino doesn't say Genuino though... But, yeap. Still what i can do about that? The arduino program doesn't get the .h or .c files. I tryed to copy-paste the codes and it didn't accepted that code. What should i do?
Basically, my questions are:

1- Why i can't get the code working?
2- How i can connect my old steering wheel set's pedals to arduino?
3- Is there anything competible that makes my arduino looks like joystick?
4- If there is a difference between "ATMEGA328P-PU" and "16u2" chips how i can get the codes writed for 16u2 working?

Is it better right now?

It is. People who know anything about the subject will see it - they might not glance at a generic 'help needed' topic.

I give details but still no help. Can you help me?
