Hi!
I recently thought about making a racing simulator, you know, a steering wheel and some pedals. I found out after some research that I can make it with unojoy. I found out that my old arduino uno was one of those cheep ones with CH340 and is not possible with those. I recently bought one with the atmeg mega16u2, and following the steps with installing the Flip stuff, then uploading the sample, then shorting the 2 pins they say online to enter DFU mode, when I opened the turnintoajoystick file, a CMD opens but it fails to upload the thing... I don't know what that. Firmwere of whatever. Is it possible to be a problem with the board itself, in that case, I will return it. Or maybe I am doing something wrong. But if so, what exactly and what should I do to make it work? If anyone has some tips please help me... I searched on internet for some kind of solution but after about 6 hours, I'm out of ideas and websites. This is error I get
Installation and Troubleshooting is for problems with the IDE, hence your topic has been moved to a more suitable location on the forum.
As you were able to upload a sketch, I doubt that there is anything wrong with your board.
If you need HID functionality, why did you buy another Uno? You more than likely would have been better of if you would have bought a board that can act like a HID (e.g. a Leonardo, Micro or SparkFun ProMicro).
Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem.
I see. I bought another UNO since this was the only type of board I can get relatively fast around me. Other boards like Leonardo or Micro would take about 2 weeks to be shipped from other country. Since there is nothing I can do, I will buy a Leonardo. Thank you for your help.
