I believe some people here are not tuned into the concept of resonant frequency.
it is a transducer. a speaker that requires an ultrasonic signal to drive it. a 40 khz signal generator driving an amplifier that can provide 100 watts at 40 khz. audio gear typically filters that out. I would be on eBay looking for an industrial laboratory grade amplifier.
