What is the procedure to change upload firmware in nodemcu? Is there any special tools ? From where which place we find those files which we will upload in node mcu?

I saw a video in which they upload .bin files using flash tools ?
But what are the official tools and from where we find actual .bin files , so we can update nodemcu with newer version.
