I was looking to upgrade my Mega 2560 board for one with more capabilities such as WI-FI..Have any suggestions!??

Start here. Keep in mind that no ESP32 has as many I/O pins at the Mega 2560.

However, the ESP32 operates at 3V3 as do other WiFi controllers.
