Upload / Flash Custom Linux Image to the Yun

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has already been posted - but I could not find it!

I have found posts on how to compile OpenWRT and Linino.

But how do I upload (or flash) my custom linux image to the Yun ?

Is it feasible ?

This is dangerous, you can easily brick your Yun doing this. The Arduino people warn you not to do such things. It is not a good idea to do this.

If you break your Yun, both halves are yours, don't expect Arduino to help you put them back together, this is not a recommended procedure.

Ok, if that doesn't scare you off and you are willing to risk having a Yun shaped paperweight-
There a lots of ways to flash these little guys, I have used several, here is one that is fairly easy. I have also managed to mess mine up beyond recognition.
