i have been playing with freenove uno board on com 8. Now i got extra boards for other projects and as soon as i change the board i can not upload, is the diffrant com for diffrant boards.
Yes, very well possible. Did you check the ports menu in the IDE? Did you check the device manager?
You probably use Windows. The COM port is assigned for USB according the VID, PID and serial number. Unique device has unique port. It is written in registry.
