Tried that with a jpg file and it didin't work.
"Didn't work" is rather vague. I suggest providing more detail.

Worked perfectly for me.
I started a trial post and then went to my desktop and copied a .jpg file. I clicked on the trial post and selected "paste" and I didn't see the .jpg file show up in the post. I have copied and pasted text before but never tried a .jpg before.

My computer doesn't have that, what computer are you using?
I use an old Dell 9020 running Linux Mint 21, it only supports drag & drop. I'm thinking about upgrading to Mint 23, hopefully it will support drag & drip.
