Hi, I have seen that many people have this problem. I have tried everything but it didn´t work. I hope someone can enlighten me.
I just bought a Genuino Uno. I am a super newbie, not too familiar on coding so It would be awesome and answer for dummies 
I bought the starter kit to start but I ot stuck on step #1 which is pretty lame...
I am trying to upload an example code and I encounter the following error:
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
I have a MacBook Pro with Yosemite.
I have tried the following:
pressing reset button, restarting software, connecting disconecting in a hundred combinations while restarting software, computer, etc. I even took it to the tech team in my agency and they couldn´t find a solution... I have tried downloading some drivers...
Any suggestion?
