Uploading sketch to Xino problem

I'm having a problem linking a Xino to FTDI adapter to a USB to TTL.

I have connected them as follows -

XINO adapter USB-TTL GND GND CTS VCC 5V TX RXD RX TXD DTR RST

When I tried to upload a sketch, I get the following-

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

Ideas anyone?

Does the baud rate match the bootloader's baud rate?

Yes they match

Hi i have the same problem

Did you find a solution ?

2 things spring to mind, is the usb-ttl adapter real ftdi or cp2102, i have cp2102 and the reset pin on it is to reset the adapter not the arduino, also the pins on my adapter are labeled tx connect to tx and rx to rx, stupid i know.

one simple way to test the adapter is to short tx & rx together open a terminal on your puter and see if anything comes back when you type

I have a sparkfun ftdi basic adapter.

Il tried to plug tx and rx together and i see what i type in the terminal.

Is the 100nF on RST mandatory ?

I finally found that the problem was me !

I chose the wrong board on arduino ide
