Hello all! I'm super new to this so please forgive any formatting or vernacular errors. All help absolutely appreciated.
The short of it is this. I was experimenting with the Arduino and tweaking sketches and uploading them and in-between a re-write and upload I completely lost the USB serial port in the “Tools>Ports”. All that’s in there now are bluetooth connections. I made no physical changes to the board or anything wired to it, it just literally stopped recognizing the USB out of nowhere. I went thru the uploading troubleshooting FAQ and went down the list. I changed USB cables, unplugged all digital connections but the USB, updated the Arduino software AND tried cursing REALLY loudly. Nothing has made it budge yet.
The specs:
I’m running a MacBook Pro on OSX 10.14.5. I was running an old Arduino software probably from a year or so ago, but updated to Arduino 1.8.10. Trying to upload to an Uno R3. I haven’t knowingly added any software or updated anything else that I’m aware of, and don’t have automatic updates turned on. I don’t remember which sketch I was trying to upload, and I don’t have an error message besides the failure to find a serial port connected.
Please let me know if any other info is needed.
