Regarding Ports, I opened Device Manager and located Serial Ports (with the UNO plugged in). It showed the UNO connected to COM 4. I went back to the Blink program toolbar and COM 4 was displayed. I tested Upload and it worked this time. I'm not sure what I did. I'm assuming the Arduino software made the connection once I went to Device Manager. I had been using COM 3 all this year.
