Urgent! Bluetooth help!

My friend has a grandmother who is currently in bad shape. He asked me for some help and I plan on doing so. He needs a device that he can give to both his grandmother and grandfather so they can communicate to each other. His grandfather can't hear her shouts. I want to make two devices which use bluetooth to communicate to one another and that are simple to operate. This is all it needs to do. On one arduino will be a single button, when pressed will send a signal to the other arduino which will immediatly flash leds and vibrate. Can someone please make the code to make this work. I can read simple code, but when it comes to programming bluetooth I have no idea what I'm doing. Please help! Thank you so much for understanding!

This is a simple idea but will end up costing some money and plenty of work. Do they need to have batteries? What kind of enclosure do you want to put each one in? I'm pretty sure you can use bluetooth chat for this(even with leds and other functions) but don't quote me, as I've never used it. Either way I'm thinking it'll be a pretty big project to just ask for someone to basically do it for you although, I'm sure almost anyone would feel for them.

Is there any kind of already built option for them? Seems like there should be. Have you looked into it?

Had the same problem with my parents, so gave them each a battery powered door chime.
Each had a button to ring the others chime which they had in there pocket.
RF range was about 100mtr and thru the house.
Simple and effective

Jamesvote has a far better solution to your problem.

I don't think you can use bluetooth for Arduino to Arduino comms anyway. You use bluetooth to communicate with a PC or bluetooth device and the reason why you have no idea what you are doing with bluetooth programming may be that you don't need any programming for bluetooth in that instance. The serial commands suffice on the ASrduino, and all the knowhow is applied at the other end.

You can get 2.4 GHz radio transceivers for Arduino <> Arduino chat. They are even cheaper than bluetooth.

Thanks for tip.

I search the internet but can't find a wireless device that does the job. Can you guys offer and links?

How bad is the grandfather's hearing? Unless he is totally deaf a set of cheap walkie talkies should suffice. It probably won't vibrate but should be more than loud enough for even the most hearing impaired.

Yeah, thats my alternative plan.

There's even two way radios with vibrate function.
