I have bought 10 pieces of URM37 V5.0.
These are by default serial-TTL.
After power on led blinking 1-long 1-short and then stays off permanently.
The sensor is out of order.
Can someone help me get the sensor to work properly?

It's correct status for TTL.

Quite likely off when idle and blink on every measurement.
This is correct but on my 3 new sensors led status stays off permanently.
I am confuse with this problem.

Man, this is rough. I will suggest you to buy a new one.
Should they? I expect that they do only in automatic measure mode and wiki gives this:
The factory default settings
- Serial TTL level
- Measure mode: PWM trigger
