USB Adapter with electronic On/Off Switch

Hello,

I want to create a USB-adapter (data and power, ideally A-male to A-female), which I can turn off and on electronically via the Arduino.

Is that even possible? How can I solve this project? I can't find the parts, that I imagined.

Where is the power coming from?
What is on/off? Power only?
Aka, what's the real task?

Just place a relay (module) or mosfet in line :slight_smile:
