I am trying to build a circuit that I can communicate and charge a LiPoly battery over USB. I want to use the FT232RL chip because of its driver support and its FTDIChip-ID feature. I can use either 3.3v or 5v (my sensors come in both varieties). The LiPoly is a single cell battery.
I have looked for diagrams that show this circuit but have had no luck. I find ones that charge over USB and ones that power/communicate over USB. I know this is possible because my phone and mp3 player both do it.
I tried to take a stab at building the circuit myself. Ignore the labeling on the battery and the ferrite bead (I am new to eagle cad and picked the first available symbol)
Any help correcting my circuit or a link to one that does what I need would be helpful.
