USB HID device

Hello! I'm planning my own arduino. Can you help me choosing FTDI HID chip to work with my ATmega 328? It's necessary to build my own keyboard/joystick.

Sorry for my bad English and basic knowledge in electronic

Have you looked at www.ftdichip.com to see if they have something that supports HID?
The advantage of using Atmega16U2 is that the chip can be programmed for HID support.

Look into Adafruit's Pro Trinket and the Leonardo/mini-Leonardo often called a ProMicro.

If you want to build your own ProTrinket check out my blog:
Tchotchke: pro-trinket-clone

Take a look at the keyboard samples:

I'm using pro micro as a joystick (which needs some additional code other than arduino) and it was very simple to set up.
